Tim Tim Taare (TTT), the flagship initiative of the Madurai-based Aparajitha Foundations, is a program that aims to impart life skills education to adolescents and youth. Founded in 2008 by Bharath Krishna Sankar, TTT, as of March 2023, was being implemented in 11 states and 3 union territories of India. What sets TTT apart as a social impact initiative in the education sector is that it is based on a unique curriculum, which draws on the ten life skills identified by the World Health Organization (WHO) to create a program that focuses not on livelihood skills but on life skills. The TTT team now aims to expand its program’s reach. The path, however, is a challenging one. The team wishes to leverage the existing content in English to reach international markets while also expanding its reach across India. The team is wary of diluting its objectives in the search for funds and partners, a strategy that has resulted in some bottlenecks. As it seeks to scale its initiative, it also wants to ensure the sustainability of the model without compromising on its ethos and vision.
